B"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The study about the molecular basis for ant &#8216;bodyguard&#8217; behaviour that I conducted at the University of Toronto was published in <em>Proceedings B<\/em>. We discovered the effect of the expression of genes and activation of proteins of the PKG family on the efficiency of host-plant protection by symbiotic ants.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThis is one of my favourite studies and it&#8217;s the result of a collaboration with <a title=\"Kyle's webpage\" href=\"http:\/\/hoekstra.oeb.harvard.edu\/people\/kyle-turner\" target=\"_blank\">Kyle Turner<\/a>, <a title=\"Marla's webpage\" href=\"http:\/\/sokolowski.eeb.utoronto.ca\/marla-sokolowski\/\" target=\"_blank\">Marla Sokolowski<\/a> and <a title=\"Megan's webpage\" href=\"http:\/\/www.eeb.utoronto.ca\/people\/d-faculty\/Frederickson.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Megan Frederickson<\/a>, among others.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe reference of the paper is <strong>Mal\u00e9, P.
